For the first time in history, Egypt has signed an official contract with the International Federation of Football Association (FIFA) to become the official and regional sponsor of the 2018 World Cup Russia 2017 for Africa and the Middle East, and to start campaign “Egypt .. Experience .. Invest”.
The contracts were signed in Moscow by FIFA President Swiss Gianni Infanteo and Egyptian Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr in addition to Minister of Tourism Rania Al Mashat.
The contract was also signed by Presentation Sports company represented by Mohamed Kamel, with the presence of head the Egyptian Football Association Hany Abu Reida, deputies of the FIFA chief, and the FIFA Director of Marketing, as well as Ahmed Mujahid, Dr. Karam Kurdi and Executive Director, Tharwat Sewelam.
Once the signing and completion of the agreement, the attendees were given the start of the celebration in Cairo, and lights of the pyramids of Giza were displayed with World Cup logo, and the slogan of the campaign ” Egypt .. Experience .. Invest”.
For his part, FIFA President confirmed that he is a lover of Egypt and sees it as one of the best places he has ever visited. He also expressed his happiness that the first supporter of Africa for the World Cup is Egypt.
Meanwhile, Dr. Sahar Nasr explained that cooperation and putting Egypt’s logo in the World Cup is a big event that will benefit in the promotion of tourism and investment within the largest tournament in the world followed by hundreds of millions worldwide.
The tourism minister also explained that the ministry will sponsor a number of activities during the World Cup to introduce Egyptian tourism and the need to discover the Pharaonic civilization as well as organizing a number of other events.
