Within the light of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to control the markets, protect the consumer and implement the comprehensive program of the government announced by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, the Consumer Protection Agency (CPA) announced the launch of the “convoy of the Governorates to solve consumer complaints”, which will tour all governorates of Egypt and aims to solve consumer complaints, and specifying What’sApp number (convoy of Governorates 01030000602) to receive complaints.
Head of the CPA Major General Rady Abd El-Moati said that the convoy will start from Sohag governorate on Monday 12/10 at the headquarters of the museum garden in front of the governorate building with the participation of the employees of the agency and representatives of all companies and entities concerned with the consumer system (goods, electrical appliances, gas, electricity) and telecommunications.
He pointed out that coordination with Sohag Governor Ahmed Al-Ansari, was held in this regard within a framework of full cooperation, which ensures the success of the initiative in achieving its objectives to serve the people of Sohag governorate in the centers, cities and villages.
On the sidelines of the initiative, a coordination was achieved between the Chairman of the CPA, Dean of Sohag University Dr. Ahmed Aziz, and Sohag Governor to hold a seminar in the university headquarters with the participation of faculty members, university students, civil society figures, mayors and leaders in the governorate to raise awareness of consumer concepts and rights.
In the same context, Abd El-Moati announced the different ways to contact the agency, whether through the hot line 19588, or through the website WWW.CPA.GOV.EG, or the electronic application available on smart phones and the What’sApp service￼ (convoy of Governorates 01030000602) to receive all complaints concerning the citizens.
