Within the framework of Egyptian efforts to attract more foreign investments, Minister of Investment & international Cooperation Minister; Dr. Sahar Nasr met on Tuesday with the Italian Minister of Infrastructure and transport; Danilo Toninelli, on the sidelines of her current visit to Italy.
Egypt’s Ambassador to Rome; Ambassador Hesham Badr attended the meeting, during which both ministers discussed increasing cooperation in infrastructure field through encouraging Italian companies to inject new investments in Egypt in this field, in addition to Italy’s support for several projects in transport sector including; including railway and metro.
In this regard, Investment Minister stressed on Egypt’s keenness to enhance economic and investment cooperation with Italy in the light of the strategic relation between both countries and the deep historic ties between both peoples.
Moreover, the minister Sahar Nasr pointed out that the transport sector in Egypt is witnessing a major development in all its sectors because of its importance as an infrastructure sector that attracts investors.
Nasr also noted that there are promising investment opportunities in all transport fields, adding that the ministry of Investment and International Cooperation ministry, in coordination with the Transport ministry, encourage the private sector to invest in this field.
On the other hand, the Italian Minister assured on his country’s keenness to push forward the cooperation relations in different fields with Egypt during the coming period, especially in Infrastructure and transport projects.
