Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces Mohamed Farid met on Sunday with a number of military commanders and officers of the Air Defense Forces and participated in iftar (fast-breaking meal).
The meeting comes within which a series of meetings of the General Command with members of the armed forces to ascertain the combat efficiency and morale of the fighters in various branches.
The commander of the Air Defense Forces Ali Fahmi made a speech in which he pointed to the keenness of the General Command of the Armed Forces to possess the air defense forces of the latest international systems of weapons, missiles, survey and warning systems and advanced command and control mechanisms.
In his word, Farid began his speech by paying a minute of remembrance of the martyrs of the armed forces and the civilian police.
He then conveyed greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Defense Minister General Mohamed Zaki to the Air Defense for their sincere efforts to protect and secure the skies of Egypt under different circumstances.
The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces has honored a number of Air Force fighters for their efforts during the past period.
