President Abdel Fattah El Sisi welcomed on Wednesday the participants during the Anti-Corruption forum (AACF) held in Sharm El Sheikh.
During the inauguration of AACF, El Sisi added that this forum aims at promoting joint African action and exchange of experience, that joint African action needs unified and coordinated efforts، in the political, legislative, and judicial fields to combat the scourge of corruption، president El Sisi noted.
Corruption is one of the major obstacles in the history of progress and development, the President assured.
NSharm al Sheikh city hosts African Anti-Corruption forum (AACF) Wednesday, under the auspices of Egypt’s President، Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi.
President El Sisi will give a word before the forum during the inaugural session.
The AACF will witness the participation of ministers of justice and interior as well as the chairpersons of anti-corruption authorities، auditing institutions and illicit gains authorities. Over 200 senior officials from regional and international institutions will also participate.
It is scheduled that 51 African countries will take part in the forum، including; Tunisia، Morocco، Libya، Algeria، Angola، Burkina Faso and others.
Saudi Arabia، the United Arab Emirates، Jordan and Kuwait will be guests of honour in the AACF.
The two-day conference aims at encouraging African countries to adopt policies، programmes and work plans that contribute to the eradication of corruption and to establish a knowledge linkage base between different regions of the continent on the risks of corruption and its severe negative effect on development.
