President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi has arrived in Abu Dhabi for a two-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
He was received by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces at the airport.
President El Sisi visit to the UAE comes within the framework of the joint keenness to enhance the close brotherly relations, cooperation and consultation on various issues related to promoting joint Arab action.
During this visit, El Sisi will discuss, with Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the strong relations and the strategic bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
They also will discuss the latest developments on the Arab, regional and international arenas, as well as the issues of common interest.
The Egyptian Presidency on Thursday announced the establishment of a new joint strategic platform with the United Arab Emirates, with a total investments of $20 billion, through the Abu Dhabi Development Holding Company and Egypt’s Sovereign Wealth Fund.
The partnership aims to establish strategic joint ventures, specialized funds or investment instruments, to invest in several sectors, most notably manufacturing, traditional and renewable energy, technology, food and real estate, tourism, healthcare, logistics, financial services, infrastructure and others, Bassam Radi added.
Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan bestowed the “Order of Zayed” on President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in appreciation of his role in strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries.
The order comes in appreciation of the strong historical ties between Egypt and the UAE, Egypt’s Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said.
President Sisi, for his part, expressed his appreciation for Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the UAE, and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed after he received the high-level Emirati order.
