Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El Saeed discussed in a meeting on Friday with the coordinator of the African Union programs all means of bolstering joint cooperation.
During the meeting, El-Saeed said the Ministry of Planning is responsible for formulating and following up the implementation of the national sustainable development agenda (Egypt’s Vision 2030), which she said is consistent with the international goals for sustainable development and its indicators, as well as with the Africa Agenda 2063.
She added that the Egyptian economy is still maintaining stable growth rates of 5.6 percent during the second quarter and first half of the 2019/2020 fiscal year despite the continued slowdown in global growth.

She also commended the importance attached by the Egyptian State to women in addition to its efforts to empower them and provide them with education and decent work opportunities.
