Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly held a meeting on Tuesday with Dr. Nevine Jama’; the Minister of Trade and Industry and Mohamed Al-Suwaidi; the President of the Egyptian Federation of Industries(EFI) to discuss measures to support the national industrial sector amid the repercussions of the Coronavirus crisis.
In the meeting, the Prime Minister affirmed that the current ordeal is a golden opportunity for the Egyptian industry, pointing to the necessity of relying on all national industries and encouraging local manufacturing according to the state’s vision in this direction.
Madbouly also stressed that the state in turn is currently prepared to support the industrial sector, and is ready to provide all concessions for the advancement of this sector.
For his part, the President of the EFI noted that a meeting was held for the Board of Directors of the Federation «Online» on Monday, and he conveyed the message of the Prime Minister to manufacturers, namely that the coming period is a period to push the Egyptian industry forward with full force, and the reaction of the manufacturers was above the excellent, and they in turn confirmed that Industry will be the protective shield for Egypt.
Meanwhile, an agreement was reached during the meeting between the Minister of Trade & Industry and the President of the EFI to market the industrial products currently being implemented by the state, and that these complexes contribute to providing various production requirements of Egyptian industry.
In this regard, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of these industrial products to begin operating as soon as possible.
