President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Sunday congratulated the national team on reaching the quarterfinals of the 2021 World Men’s Handball Championship.
The President hailed the team for their stunning performance.
“I congratulated my sons from the Egyptian handball national team on their deserved qualification for the quarterfinal. I also asserted my pride and permanent support for all honourable Egyptian sports models and all sporting activities in Egypt as one of the most important pillars of human development,” President El-Sisi said on his official Twitter page.
The result meant Egypt marching on to the quarterfinals with seven points in the second place awaiting the final group game between the Russian Handball Federation and Sweden, while Slovenia only earned six points.
