Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Thursday held a phone call with Head of Libyan Presidential Council Fayez Serag.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Counselor Ahmed abu Zeid said the call tackled all aspects of political and security situation in Libya, in addition to Egypt’s support to Libyan presidential council’s steps to boost its existence and to shoulder its responsibilities and represent the Libyan people’s interest and protect them.
Shoukry underscored that Egypt is closely monitoring all the latest developments in Libya and that it will never spare efforts to support stability, peace and national reconciliation in Libya.
He reiterated Libyan army’s vital role in combating terrorism and regaining stability in many Libyan cities.
