Under the auspices of Sherif Fathi; the Minister of Civil Aviation, an agreement was signed on Tuesday between “National Falcon Company for airport security” and the British company “Restrata for consulting and training” to launch a training program for new security staff of ‘National Falcon’.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. John Casson; the British Ambassador, Mr. Ismail Abul Ezz; the Chairman of the Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, besides high officials from the Ministry of civil Aviation and the British Embassy in Cairo.
The agreement was signed from the Egyptian side by Mr. Sherif Khalid; CEO and Managing Director of National Falcon and from the British side by Mr. Mark Alexandre, Managing Director of Restrata, which is an affiliated company to Olive Group.
The agreement included the signing of a training contract for the new staff of National Falcon on airport security especially the screening of passenger and baggage in all its stages, and another contract for security consultancy in-which Restrata experts would implement training methods, evaluate training levels, assess the trainees during their work, as well as issuing security risk reports, giving recommendations, reviewing and evaluating of inspection procedures.
The ceremony also witnessed the signing of a ‘Memorandum Of Understanding’ to start the establishment of a joint security training center in Egypt between Restrata and National Falcon, to provide training on all Airports security fields.
During the signing ceremony, the Minister of Civil Aviation announced that this agreement reflects the determination of the Ministry of Civil Aviation to enhance the security of Egyptian airports; and its continuous commitment to adopting approved standard systems and processes and applying international airport security procedures and practices.
He also expressed his delight with this partnership, which will contribute significantly to raising the efficiency and methodology of performance of security at Egyptian airports.
For his part, Sherif Khaled announced that training would be in accordance with the latest international training programs; as Restrata is one of the largest companies specialized in the field of aviation security in the world with significant experience in setting security plans, providing training and consultancy services to airports in many countries in the region and some European Union countries, so all Restrata trainers are approved in the field of civil aviation security and holders of training certificates by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the European Union.
It is also planned that the trained Egyptian security staff will join the Training Institute to be founded in Egypt in order to sustain training levels up to international systems and programs.
