Djibouti foreign affairs minister; Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, said on Tuesday that he rejects the Iranian interference in the Arab affairs, calling on Iran to stop its negative role that would hinder the security and stability in the region and respect the national sovereignty, as well as ending Iran’s occupation of the three UAE islands.
During his speech in the 148th session of the Arab League Ministerial Council, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf stressed on the importance of working to develop mechanisms to confront extremism and terrorism, with special reference to Qatar’s backup of terrorism.
Noteworthy, the 148th session of the Arab League Ministerial Council is held under the chairmanship of Djibouti foreign affairs minister Mahmoud Ali Youssouf.
Arab foreign ministers held a closed consultative meeting at the Arab League headquarters on Tuesday, with the participation of the Secretary General of the Arab League; Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
The meeting discussed the items raised by the permanent representatives of the League, especially with regard to the development of the Arab League and the new items proposed by some Arab countries regarding the appointment of a new Deputy Secretary General of the League.
