Minister of Investment and International Cooperation participated in a session on investment in Egypt. The session was organized by CI Capital in the presence of a number of international banks and funds, some of them are already working in Egypt.
The session was attended by Mohamed Farid, President of Egyptian Stock Exchange.
The minister announced that the ministry launched “Found it on Your Own” service through the websites of the Ministry and the General Authority for Investment, to allow investors to establish their companies online, without going to investors service centers.
The minister called on the banks and investment funds operating in Egypt to expand their investments, pointing out that there are many major investment opportunities in Suez Canal Development Project and the new administrative capital.
The banks and investment funds participating in the meeting praised the measures taken by Egypt to improve the investment environment, expressing their desire to expand their investments in Egypt in the coming period.
A dialogue was held between the minister and representatives of banks and funds. The minister explained that the new investment map will provide more than 600 investment opportunities in different governorates of Egypt.
The meeting was attended by “Silk Invest” of the UK, which has an investment volume of about 800 million dollars globally, Swiss “Bellevue”, whose investments volume is about 4.6 billion dollars globally, American “Sustainable”, whose investment worth 250 million dollars, and NBK Capital, with investments of US $ 640 million, Sanlam of South Africa with a total investment of US $ 6.3 billion, RIMCO of US $ 1.4 billion globally and Oppenheimer Funds of the United States. Its investments amount to $ 137.4 billion worldwide.
