Nigerian President Mohammad Bukhari telephoned President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Monday to express sincere condolences to the victims of the Al-Rawda mosque incident.
Presidential Spokesman, Bassam Rady, said that the Nigerian president condemned the treacherous terrorist incident, stressing his country’s full solidarity with Egypt in the face of terrorism, pointing to the importance of enhancing cooperation among the countries of the African continent to confront this grave threat.
The Spokesman added that the President expressed his appreciation for the condolences of the President of Nigeria, stressing the strength and depth of the relations between the two countries and peoples.
Meanwhile, the President and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan stressed in a phone conversation the necessity of pushing forward joint Arab action against terrorism.
Al Nahyan expressed his deepest condolences to President El-Sisi and to the families of the 305 victims of North Sinai’s Al-Rawda mosque attack, saying he is sure that Egypt and its people will overcome the challenges posed by this tragedy.
The crown prince also praised the unique and strategic relation between Egypt and the UAE, affirming his country’s commitment to stand by Egypt in its fight against terrorism.
