The Minister of Agriculture; Dr Abdel Moneim El-Banna, said on Tuesday during the Investment Forum in Cairo that the ministry adopted the strategy of sustainable agricultural development 2030.
The forum was held in collaboration with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the World Bank.
El-Banna said that the forum aims to discuss the future of agricultural investment in Egypt and to attract more major investment opportunities under the theme “Promoting sustainable investment in Egypt’s food security”.
He pointed out that the strategy aim to achieve a comprehensive agricultural renaissance in Egypt that able to grow rapidly and sustainably.
“The strategy relied on innovation and knowledge intensification، taking upon itself the creation of a new agricultural environment to encourage agricultural investment,” El-Banna said.
El-Banna praised the forum that contributed to the advancement of the national economy and providing job opportunities for young people, as well as achieving sustainable development.
